Mercedes L. Varasteh has joined the firm as an associate. Varasteh is a 2007 graduate of Wayne State University Law School, where she served as an Assistant and Associate Editor for the Wayne Law Review. She has worked at FHWN as a law clerk since 2005, and has experience with qui tam litigation, health care law, and employment law. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in 2003 and graduated cum laude with a double-major in Journalism and Broadcast/Cable Production. Prior to attending law school, Varasteh wrote extensively for two Kalamazoo-based newspapers.
