Mr. Szura's practice focuses on civil litigation, including various complex commercial disputes, health care law, and the prevention of fraud and abuse under the Federal False Claims Act.  Mr. Szura was admitted to the State Bar of Illinois in 2004 and was also admitted to the State Bar of Ohio in 2003.  He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Northern District of Ohio.  He has also been admitted pro hac vice to various courts throughout the United States.

Complex Commercial Litigation
Mr. Szura's commercial litigation practice focuses on counseling and representing local and national corporations in disputes involving various complex issues including fiduciary duties, shareholder rights, intellectual property rights, unfair competition, contracts, insurance coverage and corporate dissolution.

Health Care Law
Mr. Szura's health care law practice includes counseling and representing health care providers, such as home health agencies, physician groups and other entities, in areas relating to business operation, state and federal regulations, and licensing.

False Claims Act/Qui Tam
Mr. Szura’s practice also includes the representation of whistleblowers in Qui Tam actions, under state and federal false claims acts, through the civil prosecution fraudulent claims submitted to the government.

Miscellaneous
Mr. Szura practiced commercial litigation in Chicago, Illinois for several years.  He has recently returned to the Detroit area with his wife, Ingrid.  He is an avid runner and he has completed the 2006 Chicago Marathon and the 2007 Detroit Marathon.
