At its 74th Annual Meeting, the Oakland County Bar Association presented J. Laevin Weiner with a plaque in recognition of his 40 years of service to the legal profession.  Mr. Weiner is a principal of Frank Haron Weiner and concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation and business and real property transactions.

Mr. Weiner received his law degree, J.D. cum laude, from Wayne State University, where he was an editor of the Law Review, a Member of the Student Board of Governors, and a Member of the Moot Court Board.

The Oakland County Bar Association has served the varying and diverse needs of its members since 1934. Today, the OCBA is an association of more than 3,000 members. The OCBA offers professional continuing legal education seminars, camaraderie and networking, and the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the legal and justice systems.

Throughout its rich history, the OCBA has built a strong reputation and foundation on its services and activities based on the changing needs of its members. Among its many services, the OCBA is particularly focused on public service projects, its committee work, its strong and influential voice on current legislative activities as well as on court rules, and its chapter of the American Inns of Court.  The OCBA is also noted for having a strong and productive relationship with the judiciary.
