Monica P. Navarro Honored as One of Michigan's Top 50 Women Lawyers and a 2008 Michigan Super Lawyer

Law & Politics Magazine of 2008 has designated Monica P. Navarro as one of the “Top 50 Women Lawyers” in the state of Michigan, as well as a 2008 "Michigan Super Lawyer."  Only five percent of the lawyers in Michigan are named to the Super Lawyer list and only the top fifty women are named to the “Top Women Super Lawyers” list, as decided by a peer nomination, research and blue ribbon review process.

Ms. Navarro is a principal in Frank Haron Weiner, a full service law firm providing services to businesses and individuals in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio.

Ms. Navarro's practice focuses on health care transactions and litigation, including governance, hospital/physician relations, licensing, privileges and medical staffing, contracts and regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, and related matters.  She also has an active business litigation practice, which includes federal and appellate litigation.
 
Navarro has a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from Florida International University, where she graduated summa cum laude and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School, where she graduated cum laude and served as the Managing Editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform.  Following her graduation from U of M Law School, Navarro served two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Julian Abele Cook, Jr., United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
